Announcements:
Chris Gaynor's senior craft talk was our program today! He started off by sharing that 32 years ago today he married lovely Rose. They both went to UCLA although they never met here. Her parents are from Hong Kong and came to the US for college. Her mom went to law school, was a concert pianist and came to the US at the age of 16 for college and had three girls. Chris said he was speechless after seeing all three sisters. (He was actually speechless at our meeting too for a minute recalling his luck and his wife's beauty - so sweet!) He met Rose thru a friend who was dating Karen, her sister, who played tennis. They married nine months before her sister Karen and his friend. Chris' father, mother, sister, brother, aunts, and his son are ALL Bruins! Born in LA, his parents bought their first house in 1955 and still live there. Chris shared he put 40% down with 6% interest on his first house in the 1980s for $110K. Then moved to Pacific Palisades and bought a home for $285k in 1983 they sold that home in 1996 for 500+ and shared how he insisted to his wife of 27 years the importance of living without debt. They have 2 children Nicole born in 1986 and their son, Scott. Both went to collage, have jobs, and are now "off payroll!" Scott went to Sonoma State also played tennis. Chris' dad is also a CPA so he was NOT going to be a CPA ha ha Then went back for his Masters at Northridge and found out he was good at accounting. Chris was a competitive swimmer and taught lessons and thru a client started working at PwC in 1975 as a 25 year old. He worked as the assigner and shared accounting horror stories. In 1978 he started working with his father in BH then moved to the West side in the 1980s. In addition to tax, Chris also learned he has a knack for controversy aka as audits. As long as HE is not audited he finds them fascinating Govt holds IRS or attorneys or especially tax attorneys to a higher standard should they ever be audited bc they should know better!
Please never use the commercials on TV -phone

He stresses to his clients, "Time goes quickly, set money aside and save bc people are living longer It costs more to live as you age especially with health costs Who will support you at age 99?"
Chris loves to travel, has gone to the US Open
every year since 1997. Last year brought family
to Tanzania and shared pics from the Western
