Music, Speech, and Dance Contest for

space, you can sample any pressed juice when you visit before

program they recommend.
Mel Powell, President of the E-club
of San Fernando Valley
- a club with 2 meetings a month in person and 2 video online
meetings a month. Idea of Ignite -
to light a fire to find a solution for our membership issues
created by Ken Boyd.
Mel shared 5
Rules for Membership Development:
- Membership is fun
- Have a membership chair and now
include ALL members on Membership Committee
- Membership growth and recruitment
Don't just stand there DO something - Ignite can provide RI opps
- Retention of new members- clean
out their litter box, get them activated, involved in something
they like not necessarily just what we like If Rotarians are
given a job or project they will build a village, eradicate a
disease,
- Membership is fun
What can our club do to ensure a pipeline of members in 40-50 years
so our community has a Rotary?
Some suggestions:
- Future leaders of the Rotary
world.
- Find three 30-35 year olds and
three 25-29 year olds What may be a mini project for a younger
generation?
- Business and professional
outreach
- Rechartering for fewer than 25
members Make goals specific and measurable so easy to implement
4. Leadership by example - 1st month Pres, 2nd month committee
(everyone) 3rd month the Board
- Foundation alumni and
Rotaractors - RI has list of alumni that can be provided and
invite them in first to speak and maybe later to join
15 tips for successful clubs e.g., have every member keep a diary
for a few days of every single encounter and who is on list to
consider? Expand how we think, who are the leaders in business, etc
to pool our talents to help the world.
