As Vice President and Chair of Club Service, it is my job to make sure that Rotary is fun and rewarding for all our members. Throughout the year my committee and I will be responsible for planning and publicizing upcoming events, leading songs and invocations and putting together interesting programs for our meetings, and growing our club membership with qualified, energetic new Rotary leaders. Rotary Begins with Fellowship! It’s what makes our club fun and strengthens the bonds between our members to help us continue innovating in service and philanthropy.
ATTENDANCE Indicates to members the importance of attendance at regular club meetings at 12:15 PM every Thursday and other Rotary functions. Keeps records of absences and make-ups.
CLASSIFICATIONS Surveys and compiles possible membership classifications; reviews proposed and existing classifications
CLUB BULLETIN The Windmill, club bulletin, is published on a weekly basis, emailed to you.
DISTRICT ACTIVITIES Responsible for publicizing and stimulating interest in district activities.
FELLOWSHIP Promotes acquaintance and friendship among the members.
ROTARY BEGINS WITH FELLOWSHIP. Also provides leaders for the song and Pledge of Allegiance at each meeting.
MAGAZINE Helps members make the best use of "The Rotarian", published by Rotary International and mailed to Rotary members monthly.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT Considers and evaluates all proposals for new membership; also locates and proposes new members, expedites new member proposals.
MUSIC Responsible for providing leader for the song at each meeting.
NOMINATING Not later than November of each year, the nominating committee shall cause to be printed and mailed to each member a sheet bearing a copy of this topic paragraph entitled "Method of Nomination", together with a list of the names of one for the offices of president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, and no less than four (4) nominees for the four (4) offices of director to serve for a term of two years. The election follows this procedure by the vote of each individual member.
PROGRAM Provides programs and speakers for all Regular Club Meetings on Thursday of each week at 12:10 PM.
PUBLIC INFORMATION Provides general public with information concerning Rotary through news media, posters, etc.
ROTARY INFORMATION Provides prospective members information about privileges and responsibilities of Rotary; provides membership with informa­tion concerning Rotary International.
SERGEANT AT ARMS Maintains an orderly and dignified Rotary meeting and provides the necessary incre­ments for the meeting; makes the arrange­ments for the food at the luncheon meetings.
SPECIAL EVENTS Plans a program of group parties and functions for member participation such as: baseball game (Dodgers), Las Vegas trip, etc.
SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS Provides leaders for the Invocation at each Thursday meeting. Contacts members in times of illness and personal stress.
