Myron J. Taylor
was born
in Goodwill, West Virginia, the son of a coal miner. He has been a minister
in the Christian Church for sixty years. He recently retired from a thirty
year ministry with the Westwood Hills Christian Church, just off the campus
of UCLA in Los Angeles. He was made Minister Emeritus of that congregation
upon his retirement. Doctor Taylor became a Rotarian in Atlanta, Georgia,
and it was natural for him to become a member of the Westwood Village Rotary
Club when he moved to Los Angeles. He achieved a perfect attendance record
of more than thirty years, served on a number of committees, often gave
Invocations for the weekly meetings, and gave a series of Rotary programs on
the Four-Way Test. He has spoken to more than
one hundred Rotary Clubs over the years, as well as a number of Rotary Area
Assemblies. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and was honored as Rotarian-of-the-Year
